My dad is very popular and I always hear people tell me how lucky I am to have him as a father. Being raised by a narcissist cuts deeper than anything. It's not something you can shake off easily, especially when that person goes to their adoring crowd, acts like you're just having a row, when the fact is that they've been emotionally abusive your whole life. Meanwhile, their cheering squad has no idea what they are really like behind the fake smile and stage lights.

Sir, I sadly can relate all too well, I don't have a "famous" technical parent, but I do have a "parent" who has never had interest in me. One who put men before me, and one who was always seeking some time of status. Never took accountability for anything, and would try to buy me things(which I would decline) as some sort of gesture to which accepting it would imply that all is well. I thank God for grandmothers who recognize the neglect and comes in an swoops up the child and gives love.

Ewww, she spent 15 years demanding Oprah and Tyler apologize to her but she chose an entire loser over her son. She truly is that desperate woman who will do anything for a man, including live as uf they don't exist. Sidney basically made sure her son would never benefit. Monique is pitiful.
