They resemble. After a ton of makeup they'll be look-alikes. I would like to see Dana (Queen Latifah) Owens as Pearl Bailey. She could really nail the look.
I read mixed reviews about 'The Book of Clarence.' They were mostly negative. Apparently, Sean Carter's fickle fans couldn't be bothered with going to see it. It was a box-office flop.

She looks like Dionne but I don't see her as being a good enough actress to play her. Please let's go into the talent pool for someone new who would have the whole package.
10:32, Dionne Warwick is hardly an "anybody." That's why music sucks now. Younger artists are so egotistical, they refuse to study the greatest before them. All of the greats studied. Michael Jackson, James Brown, Beyonce, Prince... All artists who openly studied and admired the greats before then. If you're too lazy or illiterate to read up on your history, just say that.
They do make movies about anybody starring anyone, but Teyana is a very good match for this. Catch her in "A Thousand and One" on Amazon Prime. It's worth your time. Check it out.

I think it takes more than looks to pull off a biopic. Dionne is way classier than Teyanna will EVER be. If she pulls this off, I’ll be amazed. I wish her the best!

Nice pick and I hope it works. I love Dionne’s classic songs! She’s a legend. OT, I saw Book of Clarance and American Fiction and both were decent, worth watching. I’m sure the tighter Christians would walk out of BOC at certain parts but if you watched it to the end, the circle would be complete
11:15 AM, True that. I saw that movie and was surprised at her acting skills. I just remember her as a spoiled teenager VH1 Sweet sixteen episode. She didn't even have a song or career at that time. I was like who is this girl I have never heard of, and she got a segment on a show with Hollyweirds kids. I really hope she turns it out. But she does need to turn on an elegant side. Ms. DW gave an elegance when performing but she had a ghetto side too. Ms. Thang was from Jersey like W Houston. They are not elegant over there. LOLO Weren't there some rumors back in the day of Ms. DW involved in some licky sticky. LOLO? I agree the Psycho Network hurt her career/reputation. She just got her presidential award this year. Smoking Cigs damaged her vocal cords. She lost that clean clear tone in her vocals. I want her to die her hair one color and get rid of that skunk streak of brown in her hair.
Donna Summer needs a biopic too and played by Kelly Rowland. Both these girls are doppelgängers of these 2 legends. And OT I need to see Origin too. It’s nice to have movies that are just stories about folks who happen to be Blk. I’m entertained by basic too
What is American Fiction about? Right Gay Z swears he’s a business man. And keep flopping trying to prove he’s one…he did all he could to nab the it girl. Aaliyah didn’t want him so he settled for Beyonce. And yes she should not be up there with Michael, Prince and others cause they were original and she’s a thief
American Fiction is just a family of 3 siblings taking care of their mother, while one of them is an author just trying to be an author, not a black author
Hollywood prides itself on making magic and if they can transform someone like Kristen Stewart who looks like dried ish in everyday life but burns up that red carpet / movie premier when it’s time; they can hire someone to do the same for Teyana. She is already more than halfway there because her red carpet looks and beauty / body is top notch. Do not sleep on Teyana. That is true star power right there. She can change and morph into whatever she needs to be as that is her job. She is going to eat this part up.
