Last month actor Forest Whittaker's ex wife, Keisha Nash Whittaker, passed away at age 51 [click here if you missed that].
Keisha's cause of death has been discovered...

Forest Whitaker's ex-wife, Keisha Nash Whitaker, died from alcoholic liver disease ... TMZ has learned.
We obtained Keisha's certificate of death -- issued by L.A. County -- and the document says Keisha suffered from the disease for years before it ultimately killed her.
The certificate also says acute renal failure -- a symptom of anorexia -- was another significant factor contributing to her death.
TMZ broke the story ... Keisha died last month, and the death certificate shows she was at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in L.A. County when she passed.
Keisha was married to Forest for more than 20 years before he filed for divorce in 2018 ... and they had 3 daughters together.
She worked in Hollywood as a model, and her death certificate makes note of her career ... saying she worked 15 years in the modeling industry.
Keisha met Forest on the set of the 1994 film, "Blown Away," and the couple tied the knot years later ... in 1996.

And then she was purposely drinking on an empty stomach.
It had to be hell on all of them coping with anorexia and alcoholism while trying to keep it out of the media. Thank goodness journalists didn’t publish this while she was alive. I’m sure some of them knew about the anorexia, especially after Forest left her.
Just sad. She literally drank and starved herself to death. Both were preventable and they could afford rehab or specialized inpatient care. Sounds like she resisted both.

@7:01 AM That's exactly what I was thinking. Her eyes in that photo are dead. She looks broken. What part did he play in her demise? How many years of mental anguish did she suffer through with him? He divorced her... chances are, once he broke her down and got tired of her inability to fight back, he dumped her.

She was a professional model and it's not unusual for models to have eating disorders.
I think Forest left because it was too hard to watch her destroy herself. It's hard enough being married to an alcoholic, but an alcoholic with an eating disorder must have been pure madness in that home.
I think she drank because she didn't know how to (or didn't want to) cope with her eating disorder. I don't blame Forest at all. I don't think anyone is to blame. I think the whole family is a victim in this.
^^^ at least she was alive and had a career before she got with that lazy eyed gargoyle. Btw did ole Forrest have an eating disorder too because he is darn sure looking dried up as well! But blame it on the alcohol right?
Something else. I bet they did seek therapy and counseling, but I think she kept falling off the wagon with both diseases and he eventually got tired of trying.

Stop blaming men for a woman's effed up story arc. In real life, people are accountable for their own actions. If you believe otherwise (looking at you, 11:06 AM), your somebody told you wrong. You're not as weak as your therapist has made you out to be.
None of our business so unless once of her daughters decides to write a book about her mom’s, stop blaming and guesstimating who did what to whom.
