In alleged text messages between Jonathan Majors and his accuser — entered into evidence in his misdemeanor assault trial and just released by the court — the actor tried to convince his then-girlfriend to not seek medical treatment for injuries from an argument between them, threatening suicide if she did.
Responding to a message in which his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari says she can’t sleep due to the head pain, Majors texted back in part: “last night I considered killing myself.”
In the partially redacted text messages released by the court and obtained by PEOPLE Wednesday, Jabbari responded: “I will not go to the doctor if you don’t feel safe with me doing so, or don't trust me to. I promise I would never mention you but I understand your fear.”
Responding by admonishing Jabbari for failing to hug him after a fight, Majors then allegedly repeated his threat of suicide: “It’s not really contemplating any more….”
He allegedly followed up with another message: “I’m a monster. A horrible man. Not capable of love. I am killing myself soon. I’ve already put things in motion.”
Majors is facing charges of assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury, assault in the third degree recklessly causing physical injury, aggravated harassment in the second degree, and harassment in the second degree, in connection with an alleged fight between him and Jabbari in New York City back in March.
The actor, who has maintained his innocence from the beginning, faces up to a year behind bars if convicted.

The way that woman was chasing this man down the street.... this trial makes no sense. People say crazy stuff over text. But I've never seen a woman running a man down like that. Case closed.
Who cares about these text messages! We all saw the video and that woman was not afraid of him. In fact, she chased him on foot, at full speed and for several blocks before he could shake her. Then we saw the EMT arrive after Jonathan called them to come see about her derange behavior. It's so apparent he told her it was over and she used DV in retaliation. She didn't go to the police but changed her mind the moment she saw him flaunting Megan Good around, it was after that she pressed charges. There's no doubt Megan was the woman who texted him about kissing. Now that the video was presented as evidence yesterday, the smear campaign is in overdrive.
^^^^You people be writing yourself a movie script about other people’s lives based on something that’s in your head. This is obviously a twisted relationship coming from both sides. He definitely injured her in the past. He definitely has serious psychological issues. I have no idea who is really at fault as far as what happened in the cab. Neither do you.
Maybe she was chasing him because she thought he was going to kill himself.
I'm so tired of this story especially since seeing that video of her in hot pursuit of this man when he kept running away.
I didn't see any abuse on his part so this case is just he said she said. I almost never side with men but this is an overblown lovers spat that should not have gone to trial.

The crazy girl told the court there had never been an altercation prior to the incident they are on trial for. But the media is ignoring that and many other inconsistencies that were revealed months ago.......
She was injured on her head/ear when he was trying to put her in the car so he could get away from her. Those texts do nothing.
Uh oh, update tomorrow may be that he’s not gonna testify and explain it all. That’s fine for any defendant but it also prolly means he’s got some bad tendencies in the past that can only hurt him to get questioned on.

This seems like a toxic relationship that should've ended long before that night. They both come off as damaged and a little unhinged but she apparently stuck it out when he was allegedly raising hands. Wasn't until another woman came into the picture that she decides to call foul. And that's the thing about crying wolf. Some people (a jury) may not believe you.

It was she who made threats of suicide and that's why there's a recording of Jonathan calling 911 asking for help because she was unconscious on the floor of his closet. It's interesting to see people twisting the narrative by saying she was chasing him because she thought he was suicidal. BS! No, she was chasing him because she's a maniac.

JM is innocent of this. That Becky chased him down for multiple NYC blocks and even ran in front of a vehicle. Went clubbing, went home and passed out from either being to drunk or to high. He called to get her help and ended up being accused of all this mess. The DA just wants attention. He should lose his position after this. Using tax payers money for this.
