Back in June it was reported that Tyler Perry was unwilling to cough up the $3.5 billion asking price for BET and later called Paramount Global's bidding process 'disrespectful [click here and here if you missed that].'
Now BET is being sold for less than $2 billion...
From Reuters
Paramount Global (PARA.O) is in talks to sell its Black Entertainment Television network to a management-led investor group, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The potential buyers include BET Chief Executive Officer Scott Mills and Chinh Chu, a former Blackstone executive who runs New York-based CC Capital Partners, the report said.
A price of a little under $2 billion has been discussed, according to the report.

Paramount is SHADY.
I'm good with this as long as it won't get into the hands of Tyler "I'll write it myself" Perry.

😂😂😂😂😂
I stopped watching BET 11 years ago.
rt of their plan to play Asians like they did women during the LBJ administration with hand outs and we all know how that worked out. Let the Chu kat have it on the cheap and what about that black news network they started to placate the BLM sentiment and George Floyd backlash gave that to Khan the only non european to own an NFL team an East Indian. Guess anyone not black is all the same to them but still let's make sure they don't let us get anything of value, build any kind of institutions or infrastructure on a large scale, we are only here to benefit them proof of that is the jumping over us and helping everybody else who comes here, when we been being sh!t on for centuries and were her before them.
They should've taken Tyler Perry's offer. 50 cent is still available 🤷🏾♀️
Well we know Diddy want be getting it so that's one down. Tyler, 50ty/who ever was CO-sponsoring him and Byron Allen come on back. You got a chance.
I think you can get it for less than that. $2.00 sounds about right.
Now I want to see Puffy's garbage pail tail, 50 cent and Byron Allen step up again with their bids. It was only when they thought Tyler Perry was making the purchase that all of a sudden they wanted in. I hate dirty business because it always ends the same, in the toilet.
