Ashanti is pregnant with her first child after rekindling her romance with Nelly earlier this year, Us Weekly can confirm.
“Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together,” a source exclusively tells Us. The baby will be Ashanti’s only child, while Nelly, 49, shares daughter Chanelle, 29, and son Cornell Haynes III, 24, with ex Channetta Valentine.
Ashanti, 43, first sparked pregnancy speculation over the weekend when she attended Nelly’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis with her partner. During the event, the “Only U” singer put her hand on her stomach while on stage with Nelly and he did the same.

@ 6:54 AM. Ashanti is 43 years old. She don't have the kind of time that Ciara had. Those eggs needed to be cracked real quick! At that age if you enjoy the man's time and know that he's a good father then you get the baby and let everything else fall in place later.

Older parents do better sometimes because they have more patience and knowledge. I'm not into chasing no toddler at dam near 50 but if she's happy then congrats. Motherhood is good for some women and maybe it''ll keep her from running around looking like a thirsty skank all the time.
@ 9;04 AM. This isn't about Ashanti not being beautiful at 43. She's giving these Gen Z chicks a run for their money--looks wise. This is about having children. Any pregnancy after a woman is 35 is considered a geriatric pregnancy for a reason. This is about biology. At 43, you want to get it done before the clock stops ticking.
