Tiffany Haddish is full of 'regret' after her arrest on suspicion of DUI charges, and is keen to shut down any suggestion she has an alcohol problem, according to insiders.
The actress, 43, was pictured in handcuffs in the early hours of Friday morning after she allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel of a car in Beverly Hills with the engine still running.
Haddish, who is relieved that no one was hurt by her 'mistake', is reportedly conscious of being defined by the incident, which could mark her second DUI in two years.
'Tiffany regrets that she is in the news for being arrested, but is grateful that nobody got hurt,' a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. 'She is going to tackle it all head-on and get the right lawyers.
'She doesn't want this to define her or have people think she needs help. She made a mistake, and it is not because she has an alcohol problem. It was just a bad thing that she got herself into and she is working on moving on from it.'
The insider added: 'She's looking forward to getting back to work and heading into the new year with the outlook of finding new love and new film and TV opportunities.'

Tiffany!!!!! Stop it. You have a problem sweetie and I know because while I enjoy a couple of glasses of wine every now & then, I have NEVER gotten a DUI. You know why? I drink responsibly and I won't grab my car keys even if I've had a glass of wine. Tiffany needs to get into a program immediately and she will understand how addiction grabs a hold of an individual and won't turn them loose.
