Mariah Carey may have cornered the market on Christmas. But Michael Jackson is the King Ghoul.
According to Luminate, Jackson’s song, “Thriller” outsold Bobby Boris Pickett’s “Monster Mash” on October 31st.
The totals including streaming were 49,000 vs. 45,000.
Altogether, “Thriller” sold over 106,000 copies last week in streams and downloads. The “Thriller” album — the best selling album of all time — sold 20,474 copies as well.
“Thriller” is currently at #11 in the Billboard R&B Digital Song Sales Chart, and re-entered the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart at #21. Chart specialists are hoping for the song to re-enter the Billboard Hot 100

I am so tired of us praising these performers who hated being Black unless they were able to make money for being
Black. King of Pop. Yes, he deserved that title.
What Mike had going on personally still doesn’t take away the fact that Thriller in my lifetime will always be the Halloween anthem.
Michael is the King of Music. That cannot be denied.
