On Thursday Cassie Ventura filed a $30 million lawsuit against her ex, Sean 'Diddy' Combs accusing him of horrific acts of abuse during their relationship [click here f you missed that].
By Friday night the suit was settled...
From CBS News
Singer Casandra Ventura, who performs under the name Cassie, has reached a settlement just one day after bringing a federal lawsuit in New York against musician and entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs in which she accused him of rape and physical abuse during their relationship, her attorney confirmed in a statement.
"I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support." Ventura said in the statement.
"We have decided to resolve this matter amicably," Combs said in his own statement. "I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love."

Cause he knows he's guilty af
Whatever!
The part that bothers me is she said she wanted to tell her story, help othervictims. She settled without really telling it. I'm a domestic abuse survivor and I just can't fathom how she could give in and take the money. Helping others is sometimes more important than money.
@7:08 So sorry you had to experience that, but It was never about helping anyone. It was about demanding cash in a socially acceptable way, She never filed criminal charges. She only filed a civil lawsuit. = Money Grab
I’m convinced Diddy made a deal with the devil… years ago/ decades really…He always finds a way to get out of trouble. He paid I her off… like it was nothing. He literally threw Cassie away like a piece of trash. Yeah, She got the money but I know she feels horrible inside.
He definitely is guilty and she deserves every dollar
Oh! I thought she wanted Justice, not money 💵 then Puffy showed her that large check and was like “ Take That Take That” and she was like ok Daddy.
I can't imagine using the term "amicably" after the allegations she made. No amount of money would make the abuse she describes "amicable."
Taking the money does not mean that her claims are invalid. Everyone knows he's a POS. If you hate women then just say that. I can't stand people that think it's always a money grab. The statue of limitations ran out on the rape so she filed civil charges. In civil court, the plaintiff is usually ordered to pay some sort of settlement. Rather than let a judge determine the amount, Diddy offered her an amount they agreed on. He's going to be exposed again for his crimes committed on other people. The cat is out of the bag, this was just the beginning.
Taking the money makes her claims worthless, I just hope women that really truly go through this types of violence that it doesn’t detour them.
Taking the money means she doesn’t have to get shredded by his lawyers on the stand, even though she’s telling the truth. A trial would have been horrific for her. You should only have to go through that kind of trauma once.
@7:50 I agree with you 💯
So there IS a price for his behavior to be acceptable?
@7:54 I agree with you 💯
Amazing how cash can make the boo boo all better
She's OK now. Cassie shook the rape off. All the allegations are a thing of the past. Cassie got paid. And she's OK. The trauma is over. The check cleared. The End
Diddy is dirty and they will keep coming for him. He bought his way out of this situation quickly. Cassie should watch her back.
I guess everybody has a price.
I think she sold herself short.
All that stuff she went through. Gheeeeez.
She should have hired Willie Garrett and got that $100 million.
I'm surprised after all the unGodly things she been through she still alive n put this event with the rest of the distractions!
Diddy will stand trail through the debt that all men pay he'll be judged by the most high maybe sooner than later
Diddy ain't shiiiid.
Money grab or not, he paid them dues quick fast in a hurry. #hedidthatsh*t
Fuck them both
@10:19 That part right there
I said it her and that husband and her parents needed money. That husband saw a gold mine in her and its paying out for him. Shes useless now after this money is gone.
What @ 10:19PM said
@10:59 PM B-I-N-G-O! It was a money grab all along!! I don't doubt she did some nasty shit with him and for him to enjoy that fancy lifestyle he provided for her and her family. Sick of these tired ass stories...good riddance!
For those of you who are criticizing her for not pursuing criminal charges, you obviously have no idea how brutal the defense attorney's are! They would literally drag her to filth in front of multiple people.
You are asking her to relive her trauma all over again just to please you all. Smh. She would literally have to endure knowing law enforcement and court employees would have access to the videos, audio, and pictures of her sex acts and you know they leak stuff like they did Kobe. She chose right because it's no reason for her to relive her trauma all over again. Why sit in a courtroom with strangers looking at you have sex and then the defense attacking her and telling her she enjoyed it. She did what was best for her mind. As a mom she doesn't need that type of humiliation.
This must be the quickest settlement in the history of settlements!
She only filed the suit because Diddy wouldn’t pay up. He didn’t think she’d go public. I’m so glad she did. This is the beginning of his downfall. I’m here for this.
@10:19 I couldn't have said it better, fuck them both. Cassie crackhead azz would have gotten rotten to shreds on the stand. So miss Ventura you picked the men out? You and your assistants facilitated the encounters? You did this every week? You did this for years? You were so intoxicated you have memory loss? What drugs were you on? Are you a sex addict? So you and your boyfriend were drug addicts and sex addicts?
She didn't want that smoke. Hey broke husband put her up to that. About time she pays her lawyers and her taxes she better hope she has 10 million to live the rest of her life off of. That crackhead ain't innocent like she pretends.
Some of you approve of the abuse of women. Shame on you.
If you read the entire suit you can see why she had a hard time leaving. Taking the money doesn’t mean her pain and suffering isn’t believable. So should she reveal all this abuse and not be compensated? Absolutely not.
Cassie got what she wanted. Fame, money and unfortunately lots of abuse. Nothing good comes easy. Better tell that to you children — everything in life has a price. Whatever happens she’s been paid and that folks is the price for the choice she made.
Sean Combs' pocket watchers are mad.
^ Mad as a mufuka. The good times are ending.
People are going to talk trash about Cassie forever, but everything she did was done for Combs. If she was a heaux then he was her pimp. The pocket watchers can stay mad.
@7:08 So a 35 page complaint on public record isn’t telling her story? Oh, ok….
@754 You sound dumb. Only the state can file a criminal case and Money is the the only object of filing a civil case. In the American legal system, justice for pain and suffering and emotional distress and even physical injury are only measured in dollars. So if a drunk driver kills your family member and you sue and they settle for every dollar you want without answering the complaint, that makes your claims worthless?
Problem is Cassie will be broke in a few. She hanging out with a broke personal trainer is unfamiliar financial territory . The first thing you find out when you have money is that you have lots to find out to keep the money. Poor soul!
Cassie vengeance is for for every artist that Puffy took advantage of and did not pay, exploited and destroyed
@1:09 Think about all of those women who were brave enough to report their r@pist to the authorities knowing there would be zero compensation, they might get jumped (or worse) if the perp has gang ties, or the matter gets exposed in their hood where they work, eat, and sleep. These women (and some men) took the right way in hopes of getting justice. The problem I have with the system (and I've been there) is that even if you follow John Law's rules to the T, the perp might serve almost no time after pleading guilty, which is what defense attorneys advise to avoid a lengthy trial. If a victim takes the matter to the streets, they better hope revenge is the last act that won't get them in trouble.
Good luck with your reasoning.
