I am beyond baffled at how these people gave such large amounts of money to someone who looks so sloppy and unkempt while DJ Envy looks like an eternal f-boi. They look like Ray Ray and Pookie on the block, ain't no way!
Oh, I saw this a week ago. It was a MLM scheme and it was an obvious grift. This is what happens when low level hustling is all that you know. They didn't even know how to dress it up correctly. A good grift takes long term discipline and a gift of gab. Looking at the ringleader, he clearly has no discipline. And, his gifts of gab rely heavily on an uninformed and uneducated client base that was greedy.
Bernie Madoff and many others have pulled a similar type of scheme. The differences was, they actually knew what they were doing and had a career in finance to begin with! They were able to keep their grift going for over 20 years and billions were lost. This DJ Envy nonsense was foolishness out the gate. I'm shocked anyone fell for it.
