From Variety
“Bridgerton” actor Ruby Barker called out Netflix and Shondaland for failing to support her during two psychotic breaks that occurred in the wake of the romance series’ blockbuster success. Barker was a series regular during the show’s first season and returned as a guest actor for Season 2. She played Marina, a Featherington cousin whose scandalous pregnancy makes her a social pariah in Regency-era London. Barker said her first psychotic break occurred in 2019 after she wrapped production on “Bridgerton” Season 1. A second one occurred in 2022. The actor said she got “no support” from Netflix.
“Not a single person from Netflix, not a single person from Shondaland, since I have had two psychotic breaks from that show, have even contacted me or even emailed me to ask me if I’m okay or if I would benefit from any sort of aftercare or support,” Barker said during an interview on Oxford University’s LOAF Podcast. “Nobody.”

Baby that’s life with these jobs. That’s why when I don’t feel well, I take off. If you drop dead tomorrow, these companies will still carry on.
ORRRR YOU COULD'VE TAKEN YOUR MEDS AS YOU WERE DIRECTED AND NOT POSSIBLY PUT EVERYONE'S LIFE IN DANGER; THEY SHOULD HAVE KICKED YOU OFF THE SHOW AND SUED YOU
@ 1: 57, Amen. I've seen a many folks work themselves to the bone just to be replaced and forgotten the next day. A many folks would work all of those years, never take off, never call in, but then get fired by the boss like they weren't ish! Don't ever think your job gives a single damn about you. Get your check and keep it moving. She's young but she caught on. This world will gobble you up, so wise up. My cousins inlaw was a nurse 40 years but they didn't even throw her a party when she left. Judy Garland was driven crazy by directors who abused her, especially during The Wizard of Oz, and she died young. Fawk those folks. Spend as much time with your kids and family as you can. Use all of your vacation days, PTO days, and sick days every year. There's nothing great about working 40 years and never missing when the boss takes off all of the time.
@ 2:15 You sound like a demon.
Nice to have support but expectations may not be best
What is it with the younger millennials and gen z that think everybody has to care about their mental issues and feelings? Your employer is not your friend and neither are your co-workers. If the company you work for is responsible for providing health insurance then that's the extent of them being involved in whatever health issues you have.
Your family and friends should check up on you not someone whose only contact with you is 100 percent transactional. You do your job and they pay you that's the sole purpose of your relationship with your employer.
After reading her full statement she comes across as someone who has her head planted firmly up her own a$s with all her talk of "inter generational trauma." Lady get a therapist because the world is full of psychos and that doesn't make you special.
@215...that is the truth...and anyone who disagrees is clearly of their meds too
9:06, do you pretend you are another poster while commenting on your own posts? Lol
Chiiile..
I get her point but at the end of the day it's a money making business and that's what they truly care about.
It's called .....NEXT
