Tory's sentence has been handed down...
Despite more than 70 letters of support, including one from rapper Iggy Azealea, a heartfelt speech from his jailhouse chaplain, and a plea from Tory himself begging for another chance, the judge was not moved.
Tory, who has been locked up since his conviction in December, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Tory Lanez was convicted on negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm charges.

Initially, I would have thought 10 years was sufficient. But now that I think about it, I don't think he meant to hit her, I think he was just trying to scare her. But he brought this on himself being so arrogant throughout the trial. He never took it seriously, until it was too late. And his dad didn't help yelling outside of the courthouse.

Black women are humans too and deserve all the love and respect and protection. Watching my mother get pounded as a child only for the law to levy the lightest sentence was commonplace for many black women. We are the last to be protected but not the last to stand!

Good he didn't accidentally kill her. Good he's going to do time. I think 10 years is super harsh. But he should've been apologetic from the jump and pretended the whole thing was an accident!
He was burning up with cockiness from messing around with Meg and her former friend, shooting at her with no remorse, and gloating during the trial with little Nightstar on his shoulders. Now Jailstar can cool off during this sit down and reflect on his actions that got him right where he is.
