After news of the arrest went viral, an old video of Gunplay and Vonshaé bickering went viral.
Vonshaé confirms that the viral video was recorded before the gun incident and is not related. She also shared text messages and pictures of damage Gunplay caused in their home.

If I were her I would stay off social media completely until I was safe. People who want to help you will stay in touch with you directly. Everything is not for the Internet. I hope she finds safety and peace. There are resources out there, I am a victim of DV and I got great help in the community when I looked for it. Blessings over her and her baby.
If I was dealing with a deranged husband who pointed a weapon at me, the last thing I would be worried about is what other people thought. Her focus should be on rebuilding her life and keeping her child safe. Arguing back & forth with people online that she doesn't even know, makes her look suspect. How can anyone defend the truth?
