In a comment left on The Shaderoom Monica admits she was triggered but claims no one was taking action.

She has always acted like a wannabe thug so that came natural for her. Don't apologize Goonica, you was just being you.
Well at least she didn't do nothing. If someone saw me getting beat up I would want someone to come help me. She saw a,lady in need celeb or no celeb she saw and she reacted. It would hv helped if she could hv pointed him out to her security or maybe she didn't have any.

So a man punches a woman in the face and Monica has to apologize for trying to protect a woman from being beat up by a man? No one is going to say anything about that man raising his hands to a woman? Didn't a black men get murdered last month for beating up a women in front of he son? How soon you al forget that black women are targeted by violent black men.

@Anon12:02 WRONG!!! Carlissia Hood did not instigate that interaction. Stop IT!! All those men that stood there behind the counters as well that was in line were cowards. Just like you’ve displayed.. Monica needs not to apologize. The sad part is there was security present. Monica had to yell at the security on her own behalf, because she’s the one that spotted and immediately got down from the stage and security grabbed Monica and she told them to unhand her. I think she’s apologizing for what she said to the guy. She wasn’t wrong at all.
I have peeped how silent black men are when we(Blu women) are disrespected or killed and see how they respond in the media when something happens to one of them. And I also realize the black man hates himself so much. And a lot of women aren’t an ally of mine as well.

I'm glad that the teen shot to death the man that hit his mother in the face with heavy, closed fist blows. If he wasn't trying to be tough he'd probably still be alive. The woman with him didn't even try to stop him. Now that simpleton can spend the rest of her life with that moment looping in her head and wondering what if...too bad and too late.
