Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are cutting ties with Spotify just three years after agreeing to a $20 million deal.
The pair’s podcast, “Archetypes,” won’t be getting a second season despite launching at the top of the charts last year, a source confirmed to The New York Post on Thursday.
The insider added that the couple didn’t produce enough content to receive their full multi-million dollar payout.
In a joint statement, Spotify and Archewell Audio said they have “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”
However, it appears the pair may change their mind if they get a better offer from another company.
“Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform,” an Archewell Productions spokeswoman added to The Wall Street Journal, which was the first to report the news.

After she tried to get Mariah to say she wasn’t Black, and biracial was something more elite and that she(Meghan) had never been treated as a black woman and was horrified about it, I stop listening. Mariah didn’t fall for it by the way and called Meghan a Diva, which she didn’t like. Mariah stay winning as the Queen of Shade, and she was correct on how she handled that interview. Meghan couldn’t manipulate nor handle her.
Did anybody listen? I didn't even know they were on spotify with a podcast. I cancelled my spotify account when they allowed Joe Rogan to spew the N word like it was second nature and there's no ways I'm ever downloading that app again.

They had a crunch of producers and audio people quit, then Spotify looked at the money they spent versus how many listeners and the cash brought in and FIRED the CEO for bringing in dumb expensive deals like Meghan’s. They been knew Spotify wasn’t happy and they weren’t coming back no matter how many fake awards they were getting. 💯

She gets treated with favoritism in the black community because no one picked on her and made jokes about her drug and alcohol abuse and weight gain like they did Whitney Houston and any other black woman. Mariah still gets kind after showing up drink af and barely able to walk. Whitney or any other black female singer didn’t have that luxury they lost jobs behind it and black folks sat around and made fun of her.
