Kirk Franklin says that his son’s decision to leak a vicious phone conversation between them has lead to the “worst two years of my life.”
In March of 2021 the Grammy Award-winning artist‘s estranged 35-year-old Kerrion recorded and a private exchange between the two and posted it on Instagram. On the tape, Kirk threatens Kerrion, saying “I will put my foot in your ass” and “I will break your neck.” He also throws a string of profanity-laced insults at the younger man.
Kirk apologized to his fans the following day.
Now he tells Page Six, “It traumatizes me to this day. It is very difficult, and my wife [Tammy] will tell you.”
The 53-year-old “STOMP” artist says that his rant didn’t come out of the blue.
“That tape was a reflection of years of what our family dynamic has been going through, just so you know,” he said, “You don’t have that type of anger out there without there being a history of something.”

Always weird to me when people apologize to their fans for personal issues. He doesn't owe the public sh*t regarding how he interacts with his son. Does he owe his son an apology? Perhaps. But that still has nothing to do with his fans.

Kirk Franklin isn't human. Narcissists are not human beings. Any parent who holds this much hatred for a child that they created is not mentally sound. His apology is a non-apology and he never apologized to his son for being a failure as a parent.
Your kids aren't born hating you, you abuse them long enough and they will eventually turn on you and call you out on your shit.
He cussed out at his grown wayward adult son . . . big deal! Based on Kerrion's behavior over the last couple of years, I would say he didn't yell enough.

The sooner he realizes his dad is a Hollywood Gospel Singer/Choir Director whose focus is pleasing the masses to keep his pockets/bank accounts full, the sooner he should realize he was a family decor/plant for the optics and his services are no longer necessary. It probably was the worst time in Kirk’s life. He was exposed. His true self was revealed to the world and he was embarrassed.
Kirk Franklin is a NARCISSIST. The worst thing you could do to a NARC is expose them. They never forgive and they never forget. How is that his worst moment when he got on Oprah telling her how he dumpster dived for porn and lusted others while married? Kirk is a NARC. I feel for his son.

I haven't heard the audio. But, any child that would leak a conversation between the two of us would no longer be a child of mine. That 'child' was trying to go scorch Earth on his own father's reputation. That's a big no-no.
