From Deadline
John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman) is set to star opposite Honorary Oscar winner Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) in The Piano Lesson — a Netflix film adaptation of August Wilson’s classic play, which will mark the feature directorial and screenwriting debut of his brother, Malcolm Washington. Pic’s starry ensemble will also include Ray Fisher (Rebel Moon), Danielle Deadwyler (Till), Michael Potts (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) and Corey Hawkins (The Tragedy of Macbeth).
Set in 1936 Pittsburgh during the aftermath of the Great Depression, The Piano Lesson follows the lives of the Charles family in the Doaker Charles household and an heirloom, the family piano, which is decorated with designs carved by an enslaved ancestor.

Denzel son acting is garbage.
He was good on HBO with the Rock back in the day
Pls stop it with the same ole plays.
Where's the new plays?
@1:05 He sure was good in Ballers with the Rock.
It would be even better if he could direct his dad Denzel instead of Samuel Jackson but ok cool
Okay, I guess. He done doing goofy Nolan films that fail?
Samuel was so happy in Scotland at the gay club recording men pumping. I don't view him the same. His long suffering wife stood right there pretending to be happy. John David is handsome and he will go far.
Denzel is a fall down drunk. His kids are not his fans.
Aht aht y’all gotta chill on the Denzel and Sam jabs. They are my fav actors. They are staples in my grandparents’ household. Be easy lol
…and just because Samuel L Jackson is in it, I’ll watch.
What a proud moment this must be for Denzel to see his son Malcolm direct this play, while also watching his other son John David star with Samuel Jackson. Some famous kids do nothing all day but play video games and beg for money. These siblings are putting their opportunities to work for them and that's a great thing.
I can't wait to watch this because The Piano Lesson and Gem of the Ocean are two of my favorite August Wilson's pieces.
Congratulations to all of them.

But how many better actors lost out in this opportunity because Denzel's kids wanted to act and direct? Kids of celebrities don't understand*why* nepotism is a problem. As an actor, getting in the door is 97% of the battle. Whereas Denzel's kids can just walk through the front door and that's "enough". Denzel should understand this, especially, considering how many dudes he had to pay early on in Hollywood. I'm disappointed in black celebrities who adhere to nepotism; they know how hard diversity and representation is for our community.
All y’all shut up and bow down to acting royalty. His daddy is KING MFing KONG.

If you aren't a nepot baby, then network. Nurturing relationships will get you the job. H*ll, that's how I got in at the post office.
