The press secretary for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office told multiple outlets on Thursday that the order of protection was granted with the consent of the defense’s counsel.
Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, tells Page Six that the update in the status of the restraining order is “standard” in cases “such as this.”
She explains their team consented because the “Devotion” star allegedly “wants nothing to do with the woman who assaulted him.”
“We have been transparent and cooperative with the District Attorney, including giving the District Attorney ample evidence, including witness statements, of Mr. Majors’ innocence,” Chaudhry adds.
The attorney shares that some of the evidence submitted was a report made by a board-certified emergency medicine doctor and trauma specialist who examined photos and videos of the alleged victim’s injuries and concluded “without hesitation” that the marks “did not come from” Majors.
“It is disturbing that even when presented with this incontrovertible evidence, the District Attorney continues this false case,” she concludes.

He needs to dump that lawyer and hire an experienced crisis intervention team. This case is going to go down on what the police at the scene and the ER doctors observed, particularly the bruising on the victim’s body and around her neck. Trying the case in the press is bad strategy.

His attorney is GARBAGE! Whoever they are, their constant public statements to the media make everything appear worse than it is. He needs an attorney who speaks less to the press and more on preparing his case for court. This looks really bad and he hasn't even gone to trial yet. His attorney should be quiet but if I were him, I would hire an experienced attorney with a winning track record because this ain't it. The public has already turned on him and he's lost almost all of his deals, what would be the problem with shutting the F up until trial?!
I suspect he did what a lot of naive men do which is feel sorry for a troubled stray cat and then end up regretting it. You never feed a stray cat because they dont like to leave and they take over.

In the UK, quite a number of white British women have accused black football players, musicians, actors etc of heinous crimes. The racist media mechanisms go into overtime overdrive. Careers are quickly put on hold. Once in court, the accusations prove contrived and completely false. Sadly, long term damage is done and there is no way to return. Fortunately, Mr. Majors is U.S. citizen.
This is cruel and unjust punishment. He must be treated as Innocent until proven guilty.
JM was quickly dropped because the accuser is white AND British. This is what one refers to as obscene discrimination on the part of his own people - The white Americans.
Without further delay, JM must hand over this dreadful matter to The NAACP.

This is her lawyer working himself into a payday oh yeah and she will see some money to which I'm sure he is fine with seems from the outside looking in she regrets her actions and feels she overreacted but now she can't undo it all so she might as well get a few coins on the way out with a little convincing from her lawyer I'm sure. I wasn't on the scene when it all went down but it doesn't appear to be what the press is reporting it as, and another thing a restraining order or order of protection is not a legal filing that carries a lot of weight it is almost always granted 99.99999% of the time unless its crystal clear the claimant is up to some obvious f@ckry if there is any chance even the slightest or one's word against the others they grant it no judge is going to not issue a weightless precautionary measure and expose himself to the blowback of that one in one million chance something goes wrong and the claimant is harmed on his watch it would be career suicide.
