TV mogul Byron Allen to the rescue...
From Variety
Just days after Warner Bros. announced the cancellation of “Judge Mathis” after 24 seasons, Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group has scooped up the services of Judge Greg Mathis to host a new first-run one-hour strip for fall 2023.
“Mathis Court with Judge Mathis” has been given a “firm go” by Allen Media Group, which is now pitching the show for broadcast, cable and distribution platforms.
In addition to broadcast syndication, the show will join Allen Media Group’s eight court series carried on its television network Justice Central, available in more than 50 million U.S. homes. Allen Media Group’s “America’s Court with Judge Ross” (which premiered in fall 2010), as well as “Justice for All with Judge Cristina Perez,” “Justice with Judge Mablean,” “Supreme Justice with Judge Karen,” “The Verdict with Judge Hatchett,” “We the People with Judge Lauren Lake” and “Equal Justice with Judge Eboni K. Williams.” (“Equal Justice” also premieres in fall 2023.)Judge Mathis hinted at the news one day after his show was canceled.
Speaking of Byron Allen, who remembers when Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes told her manager on national TV that she would not audition for a guest appearance on Byron Allen's TV show, "Mr. Box Office," because it would be a step backwards for her acting career [click here if you missed that]?

One door closed, another opened.
It wasn’t a step backwards for Judge Mathis.
Byron Allen is so impressive to me that I have no brief set of words to describe my admiration. Just to say he is one of the most intelligent media moguls out there. It will be a delight to see Judge Mathis on his network!
Judge Mathis has had a good run, but now it's time to pass the baton over to some younger Judges. Judge Kenneth King, Detroit's 36th District Court, the same court Judge Mathis was recruited from, would be a good fit as well as Judge Shannon Holmes. Both are good for TV.
Judge Mathis has a very basty spirit, and he made his money treating women, especially Black women, like crap. However, he's bever been nasty towards gays. I don't like him. Isn't Byron the guy married to a YT lady trying to sue for millions of tv reparations for himself?
^^^nasty^^^
They never keep the classy and sophisticated judges, just the ones who make poor folks look stupid. Mathis is too old and grouchy.
Allen + Mathis = 2 Detroit bros
JM should know that you don't talk unless the ink has dried on the contract. Shopping the show is not a signed agreement.
I always wondered about black men that marry Yt women. Are you really for us or are you just making money off of the black hand side to take care of your Yt trash?.
I never heard of network Justice Central.
Absolutely! @846AM
Appreciate the business success of BA but his wealth and legacy will pay and follow his yt family. With a yt wife, their kids will marry someone like their yt mom (as they should) and his grandkids will look like Michael Jackson’s yt kids.

Judge Mathis has a reality show. His wife is Black. One of his sons is gay.
Mannn put some respect on Mathis. Black men learn the law watching him. I’d take him any day over Judge Judy mean old a$$.

Coon moves! Should have picked up Underground season 3!
