Gucci Mane Breaks Promise to Pay for his Artist's Funeral and Demands Family Return His Chains
The siblings of 1710 Records artist Big Scarr claim 1710 CEO Gucci Mane promised to pay for Scarr's funeral, then told them he couldn't do it because his wife's birthday is coming up...
Big Scarr little brother Quezz exposes Gucci Mane on IG LIVE for lying about paying for Big Scarr funeral 😳🎥.. Also asks for chains back 🤔 pic.twitter.com/BpDSQlDRCK
Chains probably rented but oh well. If there’s no contract to return them, then the family should use them to pay for the funeral. It’s messed up Gucci is going back on his word, but he’s not obligated to pay for nada unless it’s in a contract. 🤷🏽♀️
Well Gucci isn't exactly a stand up guy. He doesn't even claim his autistic child, so him doing something like this is not shocking...more like expected
10:37- Gucci got an autistic child he ain't claiming?! No wonder he was ok with being with a woman who completely forgot about her own kids to chase after him.
The wife sounds entitled. Yeah, it's messed up that Gucci went back on his word, but, he's not contractually obligated. And putting him on blast makes her look weak.
Usually an insurance policy on loaned out jewelry now days and it usually establishes who owns the jewelry and who has possession of it's anybody other than the listed owner.
Keyshia already provided the receipts of them paying 20K to the funeral home. These ungrateful mfs just mad that Gucci aint give them the cash directly and now wanna act like clowns on social media. And get a damn life insurance policy so ya family aint gotta have they hands out looking for a way to bury you.
^^^ It wasn't $20k, it was a receipt for $10k. And it's possible that the error (delinquent bill) was on the funeral, not the family. A lot of businesses will double bill for charges, and not realize the balance was paid. Keisha should've posted receipts that Gucci told the family it was paid in full - instead of just ghosting them. It sounds like the funeral played both parties in an attempt to make more money.
Also, $10k was what our insurance paid for my grandmother's funeral - and it was a basic/standard funeral - & that was over 10years ago. For a rapper that has earned Gucci millions of dollars, the least he could've did was toss the family a stack, or told them to keep the chain.
I would have the chained appraised because diamonds look flawed with no luster. Unless they dirty. Thats some real T poster about the Autistic child. Isn't GM bipolar? Sounds like it came from his gene pool.
Record label heads typically get paid off of dead artists and so I seriously doubt Gucci was paying ish from the goodness of his heart. Gtfohwtbs, Keyshia. Lol. If he did pay, I doubt it was from his personal account. Lol. Something about Gucci's wife reeks of gold digger and horrible stepmom, hence them wanting the chains back..
That being said, why didn't this young man have a term life insurance policy when you can get $500,000 for $20 bucks a month at his age, or a $30,000 whole life for $40? Smh. Why didn't his mom have a policy on him knowing he lives in a crime ridden city? My husband had 2 burial plots paid off by age 24. Black folks have it bad begging after folks die. I had my child a whole life policy that builds cash value as a baby and will add a term life soon. I refuse to be stuck begging while grieving. It's. Embarrassing. I've never heard of the young man, but you can't expect any business man to cover anything that's not negotiated in your contract.
@2:09 I agree, but a lot of black folks aren't financially literate. Especially the ones who grow up in impoverish neighborhoods. When you're only getting $1k a month to support 2+ ppl, it can be hard to allocate an extra $20 - that could go towards food/rent/clothing/utilities etc to a life insurance policy. And those who do have the extra $20-$100 for life insurance aren't financially savy. That's why, collectively, we spend trillions on alcohol, haircare, and drugs (weed).
@2:09pm we didn't beg for anything! He came to us and volunteered to pay it.no one said or felt as if he was obligated.its the principle. Don't volunteer to pay for something and wait until the last minute to say you aren't going to do it. especially if we started to pay for other things for the funeral.kesha lied too!! What are we gaining from lying on his pickle head ass??? Stop gossiping on us as if you were here personally
@2:09 PM Life insurance is used to replace income. Only a fool would buy life insurance policy for a child rather than invest in things that would bring a higher return. Black people aren't the largest group "begging after folks die". 😁 Why would you even post something that ignorant?
@2:09 memphis isn't the most crime ridden city in America! Do not blame or shame my mother.your husband bought his plot for himself at a early age kudos to him.but did you have life insurance for yourself at that age?? 9 times out of 10 you didn't. Did your mom have life insurance policy on you at that age??
@ 4:14, You are a MORON if you think it's easier to come up with $10,000 to $20,000 on the spot as opposed to paying a lil change a month on a policy for a child 0 to 18. Are you aware that the majority of middle class and rich families in America have LIFE INSURANCE and that the # 1 way to remain financially stable after death is via insurance? Furthermore dummy, I've done business with that very funeral home and it's true that countless families are not prepared and then expect mercy from the funeral home which is a BUSINESS. Do you know how stupid you appear to write what you wrote? Insurance is there to relieve financial strain, not just replace regular income , dipstick.
@ 4:14, You are a Go Fund Me waiting to happen because you sure are not financially literate or wise. You know how ridiculous it is to say to invest, which takes YEARS to grow, as opposed to paying 10 to 20 a month? Smh. Investments are seperate from life insurance which is guaranteed. Smh.
The deceased rapper's family has entered the chat 🙄😒... Spend less time defending your fam online, and begging; more focus on the business that pays you ..
@ 4:21, No one is "shaming" the mother, fool. The family of the deceased hopped online and aired it out. I don't know if they are his siblings or cousins, but they exposed their situation, not me.Furthermore, how are you wearing a $50,000 chain but not have life insurance? Also, I am a Memphis native and it is one of the MOST crime ridden cities, so stop LYING. Enough is enough. There is nothing wrong with paying on a policy. Handle your business and you won't need anyone else. That's the point.
@ 4:13 "stop gossiping on us." Make that make sense. Smh. For one, I doubt you know the deceased, and if you do, it was your family who chose to hop online and discuss financial matters with complete strangers. My point is this, a million people can promise me a million things, but whether they fulfill it or not will not stop me from being prepared. When you are prepared, you won't give a liar a second thought. If Gucci lied, I'd already have my affairs handled. Now do you understand my point? I don't need a Guccie Mane because I got it mane. Now, let it be known that I have had several funerals conducted through NJ Ford and so you all don't fool me one bit. I am a native from the hood and my policy is paid. You won't find me online exposing my deceased loved one's finances because it's easier to pay a little a month than it is 20,000 at once. Bless you. Don't be offended, be motivated. Life insurance helps families in countless ways. It's a good thing, especially when you are young. I speak with love, not cruelty, but this happens too often in our community. If you don't like public feedback, don't drag the public into it. He was young and may not have known but someone should have said before you wear a 50,000 chain, pay a $10 policy each month or once a year. That's loving advice. I pay every month because you never know.
@ 4:58 , Amen. I don't care for Gucci or his wife, but his wife has receipts proving they paid for the funeral. Many businesses like Walmart and other corporations keep policies on employees and do not give the money to the families, which is a practice I've always detested, but apparently it's legal. I have no idea if Gucci's label has life insurance coverage for their artists or if he was sincerely being nice? I don't know how HR runs in that industry.
What news outlets are reporting is that Gucci's wife allegedly proved the sister of the deceased recieved the money, and when confronted, the sister downplayed it and said her brother was worth more. So, the funeral was paid for which I thought was the issue, but apparently someone wants more. Anyway, if they fill Gucci hasn't lived up to his part of the contractual agreement with the deceased, that's a different case, but he did pay for the funeral.
I still don't know why they expect more from Gucci than themselves? Read the fine print, and if his contract doesn't cover death, GET A POLICY. I don't trust either side, Gucci or that family. May the deceased RIP
Gu probably gave the customary 10G's but the family that never had nothing wanted him to pay for a tricked out Low Ryder Funeral. These dudes better start running wands across they jewelry because the answers are all stored in the watches, chains, bracelets and earrings. Feds know everything somehow.
This ish is beyond disrespectful. You commenters get real gully talking about the deceased like this behind a keyboard. Your financial advice is pure hateful trash. Go back to your mountaintop and comment on your own family and friends.

Gucci has always been grimey.
Gucci made more on him with the insurance policy.

who even listens to gucci trash music anymore??? gucci went out of style along with gucci
Get burial/life insurance.

@2:45 PM You appear to be one of the financially illiterate if you think it's smart to invest in a life insurance policy for your child.
