The new bill prohibits discussion about gender identity and sexual orientation in kindergarten through grade 3 and parts of the bill dictates that schools must notify parents of which health care services are offered at the schools and parents can withhold consent or decline services for their children. There are also parts of the bill that would require parents to be notified if a student uses a new school health resource or monitoring of their mental or physical well-being.
