Brother Believes Homophobia in the Black Community Played a Part in Jussie Smollett's Conviction

Last night Jussie Smollett was released from the Cook County jail pending appeal of his conviction for felony disorderly conduct for lying to police about being attacked in a hate crime hoax [click here if you missed that].

Jussie's brother believes rampant homophobia in the Black community contributed to his brother's conviction...

In an interview with Revolt TV Jocqui Smollett says the prosecution knew Jussie wouldn't get full support from the Black community because of widespread homophobia and leveraged it against him. Jocqui says he finds it hard to believe the case would have gone this far if Jussie was a straight Black man.
