Attorney Steve Greenberg, who left R. Kelly's legal team just weeks before the trial [click here if you missed that], confirmed that the U.S. Bureau of Prisons placed R. Kelly on suicide watch immediately following the verdict. Suicide watch status for Kellz has since been deemed unnecessary.
R. Kelly is set for sentencing in New York on May 4 and his upcoming Chicago trial is scheduled to start Aug. 1, 2022.
