The hit series Empire on Fox will end with episode 18 and no series finale...
This week Fox execs confirmed that production for Empire had been shut down because of the COVID19 quarantine, bringing the series to an abrupt end.
Empire received a 20 episode order for its final season and the crew were in the middle of filming episode 19 when the COVID19 quarantine began.
Parts of episode 19 will be used in episode 18 to flesh the story out.
Empire was canceled last year after it's star, Jussie Smollett, staged a hate crime hoax in Chicago [click here if you missed that].
