According to reports the five part series “Outlaw: The Saga of Afeni and Tupac Shakur” will be directed by Allen Hughes.
Afeni Shakur was a member of the Black Panther Party and gave birth to Tupac one month after she was acquitted on conspiracy charges to blow-up landmarks in New York. She spent two years in jail leading up to the trial and represented herself in court.
Tupac was gunned down in Las Vegas at the height of his career in 1996 in a murder that remains unsolved.
Fun Fact: Tupac spent 15 days in jail for assaulting Allen Hughes after he fired Tupac from the movie Menace II Society.
