Turns out Jay's reason for turning down the Super Bowl had nothing to do with Kap...
This week Jay Z sat down with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss his new partnership with the league and Jay admitted the real reason he turned down the offer was because he didn't like the selection process.
Jay told Goodell
“I didn’t like the process. I think the process of selection was fractured. Take four of us and everybody thinks they’re playing the Super Bowl. It’s almost like this interview process. So if I could pick one, three other people are upset. That’s not even good math. After three years nine people are upset and three people are going to play. I just think the process could’ve been more definite.”Fun Fact: Colin Kaepernick sued the NFL and settled out of court after he accused team owners of conspiring to keep him out of the league after be began kneeling during the National Anthem to protest unpunished police brutality in the Black community [click here if you missed that].
