A hearing for the case this week did NOT go well for Chris...

At his latest court hearing in Tampa Thursday, Brown waived his appearance, but his attorney was there. It does not appear the state is willing to offer him a deal.
Brown now has a couple of options on the table: He could plead guilty, also known as an open plea, but, in that case, Brown's past bad behavior would be considered by the judge. Or he could go to trial.
If Brown decides to plead guilty, he faces up to five years in prison and the judge will have the final say on his sentence.
