Imprisoned funnyman Bill Cosby and his wife Camille quietly sold a rarely seen work by Thomas Hart Benton earlier this year, according to reports.
In addition to “Going West,” the Cosbys pledged a second Benton painting, “The Instruction,” as collateral for a loan from a finance firm specializing in art, Bloomberg reports.
While it’s not clear how much “Going West” sold for, the combined market value of the Benton works was estimated at $12 million to $14 million.
