Today DMX was sentenced to 1 year in prison, 3 years supervised release and must pay $2.3 million in restitution after pleading guilty to evading $1.7 million in taxes.
The prosecution had been pushing for the maximum sentence of 5 years.
DMX has been locked up since January when he violated the terms of his bond by failing his drug test.
