Akon's Bodyguard Found Guilty in Hotel Worker Assault
Akon's bodyguard found guilty after assaulting a hotel worker who asked to see Akon's room key...
According to reports Akon's longtime bodyguard, Mamadou Ndiaye, 40, was found guilty of assaulting a security guard at The Hilton Hotel in Cardiff following Akon’s performance at Cardiff University’s Students’ Union back in November.
The worker testified that he did not recognize Akon and had no prior notice that the rapper was arriving when he asked to see room keys for Akon and his 10 person entourage.
The worker claims Akon asked, "Who are you to ask for ID?" before forcing his way into the hotel followed by his entourage.
The worker claims he was pushed into the revolving doors and bent over backwards at the reception desk.
Akon's bodyguard denied shoving the hotel worker but did admit throwing the hotel keys on the floor in frustration.
The guard was found guilty and sentenced to pay $1500 in court costs and compensation to the victim.
