Earlier this week Pespi cola debuted their latest ad campaign in which Kendall Jenner leaves a glamorous photo shoot to join what appears to be a 'Black Lives Matter' protest and ends with her offering Pepsi to a police officer [click here if you missed that].
After initially defending the ad as conveying an important message, Pepsi has seen the error of its ways...
... and has pulled the ad offline altogether.
In a statement to the media Pepsi apologizes to public and to Kendall Jenner.
“Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace, and understanding. Clearly we missed the mark and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position.”
