For the first time music from the late great Aaliyah is available for streaming on Apple Music but is it legal...?
From Hits Daily Double
The out-of-print 2005 collection Ultimate went live this week, and the 25-track compilation is #11 at iTunes this morning.
But is it there legally?
The tracks posted are credited to Craze Productions, a company that has had its issues with unauthorized YouTube and iTunes postings. In 2013, Aaliyah’s albums One in a Million and Aaliyah were illegally uploaded by Craze Digital, the company’s distribution arm. The albums were pulled down and the company was sued for the unauthorized posting.
