Now Bobby claims he was forced to take the deal...
Bobby Shmurda was sentenced to seven years in prison in Manhattan Supreme Court today on 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession charges.
During sentencing the rapper, who has remained in jail without bond since his 2014 arrest [click here if you missed that], told the court,
"I was forced to take this sentence, I did not want to take this sentence. I was forced by my attorney to take this plea."The plea deal also waived Bobby's right to appeal.
Last month Bobby told Complex Magazine he took the deal to help co-defendant Chad 'Rowdy Rebel' Marshall explaining,
"I did it for Rowdy. They offered me five and offered Rowdy 12. They said the only way they’ll give him seven is if I took seven too. So, you know, I had to take one for the dawgs."With good behavior and time served he should be out by 2021.
