Sources close to the family of Lamar Odom tell “Extra” they are staging an intervention in New York at this hour for the estranged husband of Khloé Kardashian.
"Extra" is told several family members are on hand, including his aunt, JaNean Mercer; his kids; and his ex-wife Liza Morales.
Sources say Lamar’s cousin Alvina Alston reached out to Darryl Strawberry to have Lamar get on a plane to start his rehab at the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center in St. Cloud, Florida. Ron Dock, who has counseled Darryl and is responsible for his recovery, is at the intervention, with Darryl himself reportedly joining via Skype.Unfortunately things did not go according to plan and Lamar stormed out.
Family sources tell "Extra" that last night's attempt at an intervention for Lamar Odom was unsuccessful, they are committed to getting him help.
Khloé Kardashian’s estranged husband was extremely surprised and left the location, but is still in New York.
