Ashanti's Stalker Sentenced to Jail Time
Last month R&B singer Ashanti's longtime stalker, Devar Hurd, was found guilty of felony 2nd degree stalking after bombarding the singer with a steady stream of lewd messages on Twitter [click here if you missed that].
Devar's sentence has just been handed down...
This week Devar Hurd, representing himself in court, argued that he shouldn't receive any jail time because he did no worse than former U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner, who was forced to resign amid a Twitter sexting scandal, but was never arrested nor charged.
The judge did not agree and sentenced Devar to 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison.
However, because Devar has already been jailed since 2013 awaiting trial, he is likely to be released on time served.
