Sherri Shepherd's Appeal Denied

Actress Sherri Shepherd will remain legally bound to the child born via surrogate in the midst of her divorce after the Supreme Court refuses to hear her case...

Sherri Shepherd's appeal to the Supreme Court was denied on Tuesday upholding a lower court ruling finding her responsible for the child born via surrogate during her marriage to Lamar Sally.

Sherri's case is the first to declare surrogacy contracts binding in Pennsylvania.

Sherri Shepherd and then husband Lamar Sally paid over $100k to arrange for a surrogate to carry their child using a donor egg and Lamar's sperm but Sherri later tried to void the contract after their marriage fell apart.

Sherri Shepherd has been ordered to pay Lamar Sally $4k a month in child support. She has not seen the child.
