Fox taps Tyler Perry to host a live performance of religious musical 'The Passion...'
Filmmaker Tyler Perry is set to host and narrate a live broadcast of religious musical The Passion over the 2016 Easter season.
The actor/director will lead the modern-day production of Jesus Christ’s final days as he presides over the Last Supper, is put on trial, convicted, crucified and resurrected.
The staging will take place throughout New Orleans, Louisiana, stopping at some of the city’s most iconic venues before culminating in a procession from the Superdome stadium to the stage at Woldenburg Park on the banks of the Mississippi River.The Passion Live airs on Fox Palm Sunday.
