Raven-Symoné's Job Is Safe

Last week controversial former child star Raven-Symoné again raised the ire of the Black community after speaking up on the latest race related incident on The View.

After a petition was started to get Raven kicked off the show ABC honchos came to her defense…

The problem started when Raven-Symoné addressed the issue of the white male school resource officer who was caught on video putting a 16-year-old Black girl in a headlock, flipping her over in her desk and then physically throwing her through the door after she refused to leave the classroom for using her cellphone in class [click here if you missed that].

On The View Raven-Symoné blamed the student for not following the rules and was immediately besieged on social media.

After a Change.org petition was started to get Raven kicked off the show, eventually amassing over 100k signatures, a spokesperson for ABC released a statement defending Raven and her opinions.

ABC tells E! News
"We love Raven. She is confident, genuine and opinionated, all qualities that make her a great addition to the panel."
