It was announced yesterday that Ne-Yo will play the Tin Man and Common will play the gatekeeper of OZ. “Hairspray” star Elijah Kelley has been cast as the Scarecrow.
Common, Ne-Yo and Elijah join Queen Latifah as The Wiz, Mary J. Blige as Evilene, Stephanie Mills as Auntie Em, Uzo Aduba as Glenda the Good Witch, Amber Riley as Addaperle and introducing Shanice Williams as Dorothy.
The Wiz Live! airs on NBC December 3.
