Beyonce has been tapped to headline the Global Citizen Festival in New York…
The annual free music festival to combat extreme poverty will be held in Central Park on September 26 and feature Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin from Coldplay and Pearl Jam.
To receive tickets you have to commit to a community service act aimed at eradicating global poverty.
In as statement to the media Beyonce explains her involvement,
"I am honored to be a part of the Global Citizen Festival. It has always stood for improving the lives of people everywhere, but this year is especially rewarding as we all join focuses and utilize our talents for one goal: to end extreme poverty globally."
