According to a police report, 25-year-old rapper Rich Homie Quan, who is best known for his radio hit "Type of Way," wanted to get into LIV at the Fontainebleau, early Monday morning. He and his entourage tried to enter the club through a back VIP door, but were informed by a security guard that the club had reached capacity. That security guard, Christian Cajigas, then denied them entrance.
Rich Homie Quan responded by name-dropping a Florida music artist, Flo Rida. The rapper then reportedly threatened to rush through the VIP entrance. "I'm Rich Homie Quan and I'm a rich millionaire, (expletive). I'm coming through these doors. I'm with Flo Rida," Rich Homie Quan said, according to the report.
Cajigas told police that Rich Homie Quan landed at least two punches to his face. Photos show Cajigas with a busted nose and bloodied lip. According to Cajigas, some of Rich Homie Quan's entourage also joined the scuffle.
Police said Rich Homie Quan and his group then ran across Collins Avenue to an awaiting boat. The speedboat was docked, but quickly sailed away.
