According to reports the final viewing numbers for the season finale of Empire have been tallied and the number is a whopping 21.1 million viewers.
That gives Empire the highest rated freshman finale since Grey's Anatomy back in 2005 and makes Fox the highest rated network for regularly scheduled programing since American Idol premiered in 2012.
