Suge Knight was arrested on Friday after witnesses confirmed he was behind the wheel of the truck that fatally stuck Heavyweight Records CEO Terry Carter and seriously injured several others after a dispute on a Compton film set.
While sources tell TMZ Suge was brought to the film set by his friend Terry Carter to make amends with Dr. Dre, Terry's family tells The NY Daily News he and Suge were only casual acquaintances and Dre's camp denies there was any plans to meet.
Meanwhile Suge's attorney insists Suge is the actual victim telling the media,
“Mr. Knight was attacked by a group of men while he was in his vehicle. They were beating him, threatening to kill him and attempting to drag him outside of the vehicle. He made an effort to escape, he was in fear for his life. And that’s exactly what he did… He was the victim, he was not the aggressor.”Suge's lawyer also claims the former rap mogul had no idea he'd hit anyone explaining,
“He had no knowledge whatsoever he ran over anyone. There’s no damage to Mr. Knight’s car.”
