It all started after one of Jill's Twitter followers asked her to sign a petition asking Temple University to sever ties with Bill Cosby.
In totally related news Bill Cosby has resigned from the board of directors of his alma mater, Temple University, amid mounting pressure from students. Bill Cosby has sat on the board since 1982.
Fun Fact: A civil lawsuit settled by Bill Cosby in 2006 was filed by Temple University Women's Basketball employee, Andrea Constand, who claimed she had been drugged and sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby in 2004 [click here if you missed that].
The case was settled after nine women who also accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them agreed to testify on Andrea's behalf.
Andrea filed her lawsuit after quitting her job and moving back to Canada when the prosecutor refused to file criminal charges in the case.
