Last week Shonda Rimes new ABC drama 'How to Get Away with Murder' starring Viola Davis pulled in a whopping 14.3 million viewers for its season premiere [click here if you missed that].
Now the DVR numbers are in breaking previous records…
An additional 6 million households recorded 'How to Get Away with Murder' bringing the new viewer total to more than 20 million viewers!
That's a DVR record. The previous record holder was The Black List with 5.7 million in DVR viewers.
FYI: For the DVRs to count you have to watch the recording [with opening credits and commercials] within a certain amount of days and same day DVR watchers are counted with the original Nielson ratings.
