Nicki Minaj Tweeted her disappointment to fans leading them to believe she had been snubbed by the new principal.
Following Nick's Tweets the school was inundated with telephone calls from hundreds of angry fans and a social media campaign against the principal was launched forcing the school board to issue a statement regarding the REAL reason Nicki was denied.
A spokesperson for the Department of Education tells Gossip Cop
"Of course alumni are welcome back to our campuses and we love to celebrate their success, providing it does not interrupt the educational process. Alumni visit all the time and address students."
"However, we do not allow reality TV to be filmed on school property. For documentaries, any visit to a public school must be educational in nature and cannot intrude on instruction.”
