Last Sunday night eyebrows were raised and side eyes given after Solange Knowles showed up on the red carpet for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards but was nowhere to be seen inside the actual event [click here if you missed that].
Turns out there's perfectly good reason for Solo's absence…
Apparently Solange bailed on what would have been her first industry event with Jay Z since their infamous elevator brawl because she had to get back to work on her new album.
Snitches tell Hollywood Life,
“Solange hung out backstage with her sister in her dressing room. She saw everyone and was backstage at the bar and saw Nicki and Taylor.”
“She had to leave because she is busy finishing up her album. She was talking to everyone and she had a great time. She was there for a little bit."
