Yesterday the open casting call for the upcoming N.W.A. biopic leaked online calling for out-of shape dark skin women to portray poor people while light skin fit women were sought for better roles [click here if you missed that].
Universal Pictures distances itself from the casting agency responsible…
In a statement to the media Universal claims,
"The filmmakers did not approve and do not condone the information in this casting notice. We regret and sincerely apologize for being in any way associated with the offensive descriptions it contained."The casting agency, Sande Alessi Casting, has since apologized and removed the offending casting call from their Facebook page, however they are still seeking extras for the N.W.A. biopic.
