According to reports the speed limit on the New Jersey turnpike had been slowed down to 45 mph for construction but data from his truck shows Walmart truck driver Kevin Roper was going 65 mph 60 seconds before slamming into the back of Tracy's limo-bus.
Kevin Roper, who is alleged to have been awake more than 24 hours before the crash, has been charged with death by auto and assault by auto in the accident that left Tracy Morgan and five others in critical condition and took the life of Tracy's friend and writing partner James 'Uncle Jimmy Mack' McNair.
Roper has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
