According to reports Anthony Mackie will star with Thandi Newton in "Jimi" a film about the last nine days of Jimmy Hendrix's life.
Unlike Andre 3000's doomed Jimi Hendrix biopic, 'All is By My Side [click here if you missed that],' Mackie's project does have the approval of the Jimi Hendrix estate and will feature the rocker's music.
